Well this is an image that I wish were mine. Lovely pose, beautiful background and colors. To my eye, the bird could use more sharpening. I personally would remove the bright area at the top and lighten the dark areas of the background. Also, I think a vertical presentation would be pleasing as well as this one.

killer wing position, BG and light. I agree a vertical presentation works best here. details are a bit lacking, was it a big crop? maybe try to sharpen a bit more.

Thank you so much for the feedback. I think I will try a vertical comp. I thought it didn't look as sharp as I had thought from the jpeg I post on Flickr. No this wasn't a major big crop so the details are there. Before I thought I was over-sharpening my images so I backed off lately. Good tip to lighten dark areas too.
