My first post :)
A House Sparrow
Once a very common urban bird in India, is now a rare bird in urban areas. One can still see them in huge numbers in non urban areas. Their disappearance from urban areas is being researched by many organisations. Cell phone tower radiation is seen as one of the reason for disappearance.
This image is shot at a forest, Bandipur, a Tiger Reserve in the South India. When I saw the bird hopping around for food, I anticipated the opportunity to make an image with its food in the beak. Lucky to get a good looking insect here :)
Nikon D800E, Nikon AF-S 300mm f4 + Nikon AF-S 14TE II
420mm | f5.6 | 1/320 | ISO 800 | EV +2/3 | No flash | Handheld
Post Processing: Levels & curves adjustments, slightly cropped.
