My first post :)

A House Sparrow
Once a very common urban bird in India, is now a rare bird in urban areas. One can still see them in huge numbers in non urban areas. Their disappearance from urban areas is being researched by many organisations. Cell phone tower radiation is seen as one of the reason for disappearance.

This image is shot at a forest, Bandipur, a Tiger Reserve in the South India. When I saw the bird hopping around for food, I anticipated the opportunity to make an image with its food in the beak. Lucky to get a good looking insect here :)

Impressively low angle, great sharpness, and cool behavior. I would clone out the brown blade of grass in front of the bird. Hard to believe that House Sparrow numbers have plummeted in urban India. Now that you mention it, I don't see nearly as many of them in my neighborhood as I used to. Welcome to BPN BTW!

Big, warm welcome to BPN and congratulations on your first post!!! Nice low angle. Exposure and sharpness look very good. Prey in the bird's mouth is a huge plus! I agree with Doug on cloning out the tall blade of grass.
