Canon 5D Mark III
Canon 500mm EF 500mm f/4L IS II USM

Tripod-mounted

Manual Exposure

ISO 1250, 500mm, f/4, 1/200s

She cropped about 25% off the bottom and right sides to remove an OOF fence rail. She really likes the variety of colors behind the owl, but thinks the distant fence may be a distraction.

Noise reduction on bg, darkening of foreground fence rails and lightening/sharpening of owl.

Please let us know your thoughts,

Thanks

Nice composition and pose.
I can see that the light was very low based on techs.
I would have liked to have seen a little more sharpness, especially on the face.
Beauty image none the less.

How exciting! I like the stare, and although I wold prefer a natural perch I feel this man-made one is OK (although I wish the cut ending was more weatherd...). I just saw the previous GGO thread and I think applying Marina's tweaks there here too would be good.

Keep them coming!!

Hi thank you so much for your comments. Here is a repost.

I selected the owl and changed the Levels to make her brighter, than did Unsharpen Mask to Amount: 300%, Radius, 0.3 pixels, Threshold 14 levls.
