We had a fantastic time this year on the backs of the Zambezi River with the breeding colonies of Carmine and White Fronted bee eaters. The birds were there in the largest numbers i have seen them, the main colony has grown to about 3 times the size it was last year, which make for some very interesting photography.

This image was shot from a remote camera set up in a pile of grass to conceal it. The camera was triggered from my Iphone using a camranger.

Hey lovely one , what i loved about this is a low perspective and a unique way of capturing these
i love the sky colour and the bird colours
The front 2 birds with their tails near each other really kept my eye engaged to this one

Unique one here; seen these there myself (used to live there!)

So cleverly composed. Bird on the front left might sharpen a little more.

memory jerker for me for sure.

Really well done and love the unique perspective which we rarely see. How amazing that you were able to capture the color in the sky matching the birds!!!

The low angle make this a very special image. To be able to get this comp with a remote is even more amazing. Well planned image, Brendon, love it!

Your POV is excellent and I love the framing. Light is excellent and so is the sky.
I love the symmetry created by the multiple pairs that are either facing each other or away from each other.
Love the oof bee eaters in the bg too - there's so much to view and enjoy. An extremely engaging and well executed image, Brendon.
This is a big winner in my book.
