Rose-ringed Parakeet – Psittacula krameri

These beautiful, introduced parakeets have become a regular attraction in our home suburb in Johannesburg. One thing is for sure, you will hear them before you see them!
Here is to hoping they pick a breeding spot at least 2km from our home.

Hi Richard - Great IQ and I love the clarity in the eye. I like the pose peeking out of the tree. IMO I would crop the LHS to get rid of the BG beyond the tree in the RHC.

I love this image. It has so much interest and I just love the color palate and the pop of the bird. I ihad the same thought as Hennie with reference to comp, and it works well. That said, It works quite well as is also. I find this a truly powerful image.
