One from the other weekend and I'm quite fond of this image. I especially like the raised foot and open beak.

7D, 500 + 1.4, 1/1000 SS, f8. DPP and PS CC Levels, USM. I also used detailed extractor to pull out some more details in the white of the bird.

Thanks for the RP. That was my first thought upon opening. Whites look good. Bird is at a nice angle. The raised leg works by adding a pop of color and more interest.

I agree about the sharpening, as a matter of fact perhaps a little more is in order.
Exposure handled well and I like the placement in the frame of your subject.
IMO if a lower angle was possible it would make this an even stronger image.
