I thought I'd start a thread to see who everything thinks are the wildlife photographers that everyone should know of. It has to be said, recalling names is not one of my strong points. Hence I don't always make connections and I end up being more acquainted with a person's work then I realise.
Before I really got in to wildlife photography a few years ago, one of the few I could name-check would have been Andy Rouse (http://www.andyrouse.co.uk/); his skill behind the camera is matched by that of self-promotion, and he's fairly ubiquitous in British photography magazines. The other guy would have been Nick Brandt, and his black and white prints (http://www.nickbrandt.com/).
More recently, the guy who continually impresses me is Danny Green (http://www.dannygreenphotography.com). He recently posted some photos of Alaskan Grizzlies that blew me away (see his blog) .
So who should I be checking out? (Consider no name too obvious). Although the internet has shrunk the world, it'll be interesting to hear who is big elsewhere in the world.
