Nicely done, Stuart. I like that the right rear wing (our left) goes near--but not through--the corner and that both rear wings, although not within your DOF, have discernible detail. Nice eye detail, especially for a dragon. My guess is that those eyes are even better at original resolution--how much did you crop this? BG is sweet, although if I look closely it seems a bit splotchy--targeted NR should take care of that. If I could change one thing it would be to not clip the extended leg.

Awesome -- what a face! The image is a delight to view.

What would you think about a slight darkening of the abdomen (is that the right term?) Since it is both OOF and light it draws some attention.

Beautiful composition, colors, and superb sharpness. The asymmetry in wing position and leg position gives the insect a very dynamic feel - it's ready for action.

No problem to darken abdomen

A very eye catching image!! Yes it works for me fine detail and I love the colours. I caught the previous comments as I scrolled down (I blame it on my new larger monitor) I agree with what has been previously said.

Hi Stuart, love those compound eyes. Always nice to find a Blue Dasher that lets you get this close. Some good points raised above but for me this image also works as is. -- Allen

Stunning sharpness and colors but the crummy perch and the clipped leg detract....

Great shot Stuart... Exceptional detail and angle... Agree though on the clipped leg... Otherwise WD!
