From yesterday 1 1/4 hr. before sunset - 1dm3 on a 500 f4 at ISO400, 1/1600, f7.1, ME, AIServo, Spot meter, ona BushHawk. - Camo and hiding in the rocky coast of Maine. Bob

These are such interesting birds and you did a fine job on the exposure and I love the wing postion in this image. Like this a lot Bob. No nits for me.

Very nice Bob! I'll echo Judy's comments on exposure and wing position. I like the crop too.

Why the last one, Bob? Eiders are cool birds - post more. Great work on the exposure - love the detail in the whites. The wing is very sharp. The eye doesn't seem as sharp, though this may be somewhat of an optical illusion due to the way it blends in with the black on the head. Well done.

OK, I will crawl out on the barnacle covered rocks and get more Eider captures! To be sure I am never satisfied with a picture and never tier of trying to make them better, just like all you folks!!! No better sport than a black & white bird with a black eye in a black field moving a 30 mph. Thanks for all the comments!! Bob

Need to chime in that this is pretty darned good. Esp. love the wing postition and the EXP. Yes to a bit of eye work.
