This shot is from Little Estero last winter. I wasn't looking for a second OOF plover--just an example of the serendipity that we occasionally run into. I bumped the exposure, blacks and clarity in ACR, then cleaned up the background, and added some MTC with curves in PS. All C & C welcome.

I love these little guys. Estero was where I saw them for the first time as well.
I like your low POV and good IQ. Wonderful that the outlines of the plovers are almost identical.Exposure is spot on.
The OOF plover is a bit big in the frame and competes with the primary subject a bit too much. If he had been a foot further away it would have been perfect!
I like the shell in the FG as it adds interest. Nice image.

I like it. I know those two :). The only thing that bugs me is the black line (shadow?) in front of the juxtaposed bird on our right....

I really like this image and what you were going for. The shell helps to ground the image and give it even more of a sense of place. Lovely light.
