I had two chances at this guy . the first time he turned on his back so fast I was way behind . This time not too bad. Scotland have re-introduced these White Tailed eagles on the Isle of Mull with great success I could have taken off the band, but they are wild birds and this is as I took it. The sky was dull white and there was nothing to be done . This was Scotland and you would have to be lucky to get a blue one! About 30% crop.
8 foot wingspan ,great bird. The dull sky is a bit of a negative .Suggestions very welcome .

Striking pose and amazing capture. I would also be tempted to remove that ring!

How cool! Quite a dynamic pose here, and the high-key sky does not bother me one bit. Maybe just a greenish-cyan cast so you can try adding a tad of red in PS "Color Balance" to see if that dies the trick.

This is one of the most riveting flight poses I have ever seen. I agree with you on leaving the band. A color balance adjustment as mentioned by Daniel and you are set to go!!!!

Many thanks for suggestions. Daniel will try the greenish cyan cast .

I meant to say that I would try the remedy to overcome the greenish cast and it certainly does the job. many thanks again Daniel.

Very cool pose Ian. That really makes the image. Agree with green cast suggestion.

Great shot of this spectacular eagle. I was on Mull a few years ago. It is great that the species is doing well in almost all European countries where it occurs. In Germany it went from about 120 pairs to now more than 700.

Fantastic! It seems to be a little lacking in dark values, though. I wonder how it would look if you brought down the exposure and upped the contrast a little?

Marcus,
That is a spectacular result in Germany. I don't think they are tagging in Scotland any more because of the program's success. Diane I tried Daniel's solution which seemed to work ' the vibrancy route seems to throw a bit too much blue. Many thanks in any case.
