posted a green heron stretching last week.....from the "top" side.
Just for variation/fun, here is a view we seldom see....the "bottom" side!
ISO 800, 1/640, f/9, 400mm w/1.4x.....and soft due to crop

I love it Dave !!!! Sometimes the actually work well from the back side !!!! Great detail and love being able to see both eyeballs !!!! Big Congrats !!!!

I really like this pose, Dave. One wonders how they can possibly stay on the branch when they appear so off balance - and it has only one foot holding on! It looks a bit washed out on my monitor - maybe up the contrast and saturation a bit to make it pop.

Excellent vision. Ah, I see that the thing in its bill is a tiny fish. Way cool. I would go darker on the duckweed. All in all, well done.

This is a great catch.

Make this pop a little more and it's a real winner.

Thanks for all the input....here is a rework with my usual RAW processor, Capture One.
Previous version was with DPP and my post in PS was slack...ny bad.
