This one was taken on a fern nearby the garden pond. Hope you like it, I nearly fell in the pond in my attempt to get a head on shot:bg3:
All C&C welcome.

Hi Jon, great focus where it should be, and I like the 'folded' legs/arms. Great that the wings are extended, and against a colourful BG.

We dont want any injuries falling into the pond, do we. :w3

Another nice image of what I assume is the same common darter and perch (minus the obelisk stance) as your last thread. "Nearly fell in the pond" is much better than "fell in the pond," especially with your camera in hand!

Hi Jon. Excellent sharpness and very nice light. I like all the detail you captured in the dragonfly's face. The fern made an interesting perch - I might suggest cloning the two bits of leaf sticking up in the LRC. Very nicely done!

Great details in this head-on view! Nice repeating colors between the fern perch and the dragonfly with a great OOF bkgd. Since the dragonfly is slightly angled to the right I think you could crop some away from the left, as it seems too much space too empty.

Hi Jonathan... Great shot... Excellent dof and detail... Just love theta bg... Would have maybe cropped more on the left... And given slightly more space on the bottom... WD

Good frontal view and sharpness on the head, I like the BG and perch colors, would have liked the BG without the dark area but I imagine that was not possible. I'm glad that you (and your gear) finished the photo session safe and dry.
