Got this bird at Mt. Palay-palay, Cavite province, Philippines a couple of days ago. :)

Spotted Wood-Kingfisher (Actenoides lindsayi, a Philippine endemic, male)
Habitat - Lowland forest understory, perches motionless in dark recesses.
Size - 254 mm total length
Range - Luzon and some central Philippine islands


40D + 500 f4 IS + Canon 1.4x TC, 1/50 sec, ISO 800, f/5.6, manual exposure in available light, bean bag.

Amazingbird and colors and so, so sharp. Assuming that you guys are looking for critiques, cropping away at least half of the prech would improve this a ton as it is over-powering the bird.
