These two Semipalmated Plovers were captured last month at the southern tip of Plum Island, MA. These birds were constantly going at it with each other, bickering presumably about feeding rights to the best mudflats. They sure did make all kinds of sounds during this unique display! Definitely entertaining to witness up close.......

What a terrific image. The light is lovely and the behavior/action is awesome. The colors of the sand really works with your subjects.

Awesome image Josh. Love the action and the BG. Also nice composition. Would have been even better if the birds were facing the camera more. But that is a very small detail for what is a great image. Thanks for sharing.

The light and action depicted are wonderful.
Love the wings up and detail.Nice to have a catchlight in both birds eyes.
Did you know you can post your images in much larger size ie. 1200 x 900 and up to 400KB?
I would fix the OOF vertical linear area in the RLC with the patch tool.
Do you have a bit more room on the left to include the entire shadow of the bird?

Hi Josh - Really like this one. Nice action and the fact that the eyes of both birds visible adds to entice. Like the colors and contrast, but maybe recover some on the whites on the body below the wing on the LH bird, IMO it seems blown. Still a very good image which I enjoyed.
