This is one of the many colors that the flower will transit through on it's journey from dark, dusty purple to pale green before finally fading completely in another month. I was actually out of bed early enough to capture it while the light was on the center.

Beautiful, Mary! Great sharpness & detail, non-distracting BG, and really nice composition. I'd say only thing I'd maybe change is to add a little canvas on the right side to get those few green leaves in the image.

Hey Mary, I like the good details on the stamens and repeating flower in the BG.

Hi Mary, the diffused light and soft colors are really Beautiful.

Agree with Julie on the leaves on the right. It is preferred to cut rather than to clip. So more room to include them or crop in tighter.

The shallow, slective focus emphasises the stamens nicely here Mary - well done!!

Hi Mary,

I like the composition, background, etc. a lot. My only wish is that the flower would pop just a bit more.

Hi Mary,
I'll go with Robert O'Toole on this one. If you are not against such a thing.........removing that leaf would accomplish the same goal.........but it's always better to do correctly in the field.
