While I was shooting a Green Heron, it came closer and closer until it no longer fit into the frame anymore, when it stretched its neck out. (Hunting pose)
At that point I remembered Melissa Groo's description of her beauty shot of a Juvi Barred Owl stretching its wing. She took two shots to fit the bird into the frames and stiched them together.
I did exactly the same. I, just like her, stitched the two shots together in Photoshop.
Thanks for looking.

I like the hunters pose, sharpness, details and exposure. Great job on the stitching. I would take a little off the top and add some to the bottom. Well done Karl!

Great stretch. You might think about burning down the highlights on that upper branch. I love the feet clinging to the relatively small branch!

Nice work, Karl! Glad you gave this technique a try too! You did a great job. I would never have known. It sure is a good tool to know about, isn't it?
Love the stretched out pose.

Very nice image. Great light, detail and sharpness. The repost has better composition and the PP process seems perfect. I wouldn't have known that this is a stitched image if you haven't said that. I will try to use this myself. TFS
