Hi Jim, well exposed on both the whites, and the dark cap, as the eye stands out nicely. I do like how the wings spread across the frame, so you pretty much nailed the comp.

I like the composition and the exposure and detail. It's hard to get the eye to show with these birds but the catchlight points me to where the eye is. Well done.

Beautiful flight shot with excellent wing pose and very good exposure. Like the reflection in the eye.

Like the others the detail in the eye really helps here, a very fine exposure and composition. Well done.

Sweet topside view of this tern. The angles work really well in this composition. Forster's Tern no?

Thanks for the comment Shawn. You might be right about the ID. I looked into it and found that I am within the Forster's range and they were sighted in the area around the time of this image which was mid May this year.

Great techs, details, comp. I'm wondering if the pin-point catchlight was added or enhanced, but in any case it looks good.

Thanks for the comment Daniel. I did add the catchlight to make the eye more visible. It is really hard to get the eye separated from the black cap.

Lovely birds, whether Common or Forsters (I'd go with the latter here).. This one is beautifully composed, with terrific detail and exposure. Nicely done.
