Taken on the garden pond, unfortunately I was unable to get a lateral view, but it illustrates a little behaviour.
(Ooops I spotted the title misspelling but I don't know how to correct it!)

Hi Jon. This is not that easy of a shot to get - you did an excellent job with the sharpness and DOF on the dragonfly and I like the soft light - I would only wish that we could see the abdomen a little better as that would put this one over the top. :S3: You might consider removing the OOF underwater stem in the ULC and removing the two clipped dark green objects in the LRC as they tend to draw my eye away from your cool subject. Maybe also tone down the bright area in the LLC. Just a few tweaks to clean up the edges - I don't think these would take away from the feeling that this was shot "in the wild." :S3:
