wow Dan, this is really something! The composition is just right with the stones as an entry, lilies as a central subject and the waterfall along the ROT line. The large DOF and excellent details give the illusion that I can just step in and have a look around! One suggstion for improvement to an already great image is to crop slightly from the top to remove the cut-off bright leaves on the tree just left of the centre.
Excellent work!

Hi Dan, this is another lovely comp...the elements are arranged just right for my tastes. One question...I do not use NX2 but I believe there are control points (U-Point Technology)...could you place a control point on the water lily leaves and one on the brighter trees and reduce the brightness ever-so-slightly. Just a thought. Superb work!

Hi Dan

This is very beautiful.. I agree with Andrew regarding reducing the brightness of the lilly pond leaves but i would also include most of the foreground below this to take the edge of the bottom of the pond, just a little. I think it would provide a slightly better overall balance of brightness top to bottom..

thanks for showing

Dan, what a lovely garden! I love your composition and the whole feel of the image. I especially like being able to see the stones on the bottom of the pond which adds to the oriental feeling.

I agree with Cheryl. I really like seeing all the stones under the water. It really adds to my liking of the photo.
