Hi Chris, good comp with the leaf stretched across the frame, and excellent detail on the fly, with good DOF. I like the water droplets too - had it been raining?

Chris this is one of your best to date, a really strong image, composition exposure focus all excellent. For me the colour version is the better of the two.
Nothing to criticise really, if pushed I would say possibly apply a little NR on the background and maybe just maybe slightly less sharpening on the grass/water droplets.
Super image -well done.

I'm surprised at the slow shutter speed. This fly must have been rather still. Great details. The position of the fly allows me to have a good view of it. Lovely bg and leaf.

Hi Christopher. I much prefer this to your B&W version! Excellent sharpness and detail for a ss of 1/3 sec - even with a tripod! Nice comp and background too. This is a very strong image!
