Nice to see the prey item, lots of impact when cropped so tight, but the image details are quite soft. As Robert pondered, was this a big crop? The shutter speed was obviously not an issue.

I like the light and the long fish! sweet BG too. The details are quite soft unfortunately, perhaps the focus did not lock or too much of a crop?

that explains the lack of details. I would def crop this one wide to show the nice habitat as well. A close crop like the original doesn't really work here

I think the composition would have been good if you had the detail. With that said, it looks like you have a fine image without the large crop.

As Arash mentioned, go ahead and loosen the crop a bit and show some of that beautiful habitat!
