What wonderful light, and great detail! Is it holding prey, or just has a bug in its hair? (Or do they just eat leaves?)

What would you think about darkening or cropping the lighter details along the right edge?

Thanks a lot for the comments and suggestion, Diane.
I will remove the lighter details. The ant in the hair is probably accident.I saw this caterpillar going to words top, and I Think, I have captured a right moment.
Honestly, I do not know what they eat but I will find out.

Regards,
Satish.

Hi Satish I like the image, the background NR does not seem to be the best but it is pretty high ISO.
You could try this: -
IN ACR under the Sharpening tab adjust the Mask setting so the background is not affected by the sharpening. Just guessing around 50 or higher.
In Photoshop give the whole image a dose of Topaz Medium setting.
Then Mask the caterpillar, invert the selection and apply a stronger NR to the background
Then do whatever you normally do.

Love the detail and highlights on the caterpillar hairs. Very cool!

Very cool subject, nice detail and sharpness. I think you could have backed up just a little bet--looks like you clipped a "hair" at the bottom and a little tight for me on top as well. I'm also seeing an easily removed bright spot between subject and top of frame.
