Fly pollinator

Flies are the most common pollinators of flowers in the high altitudes of the Rocky Mountains. This was taken at nearly 11,000 ft. The flowers are magnificent this year at this altitude. Too bad the oxygen is scarce :eek3:!

Superb, Nancy. Excellent sharpness, strong off-center comp, very nice BG. Cutting the flower bottom and right do not bother me, but I'm glad you didn't clip it on the left!

You locals aren't supposed to notice the rarified air! ;) During my one trip to Colorado we made a day trip above 14,000 ft. Astonishing how far between the O2 molecules were.

Nancy you are ringing all my bells, tripod macro lens and a good shutter speed too. The DOF is excellent. Nicely composed and exposure is good - perhaps just a tad more would have been good for the fly. I have looked a couple of times at the image and I think you have a blue cast coming off the petals.
