Nome, Alaska | June | Canon 1D4 | Canon 600mm f4 IS | 1.4x | 1/2000, f6.3, ISO 500
We usually find lots of Red-throated Loons in Nome, and lots of Pacific Loons in Barrow. It's always a treat to find the opposite species at either location. This year there was a very cooperative Pacific in Nome.

Nice image,
Good that you got low to get the bird above the blue makes it more interesting
superb looking eye and the wing flap looks fantastic.
I my have preferred a bit more canvas in front , however i like it as presented

Tell me you have this one sent out for print already! The details and pose are splendid, but I'm diggin the burnt orange to light blue transition!

Lovely light, pose and low angle. It's nice to see a wing flap from a different angle.
