captured this the other day,near my local river,cannon 100MM f2.8 IS L,7D, tripod,36mm ext tube,crop,sharpened,touch of levels,iso200,F18,1/4S.comments good or bad.thanks.

This is a great looking species Christopher! The diagonal perch and the dew on the wings add interest to the image. I'm wondering whether you should adjust the white balance a bit towards the colder side. This seems an early morning shot, but the current warm WB suggests a full midday sun. But I wasn't there when you took the shot, so I'm not the most fit to judge this.
These bugs are indicators for very clean water, so your local river is doing good!

Beautiful shot Chris great result. Did you use dififfering apertures, I guess you were very close hence the f18, I only mention it because after about f16 you begin to lose detail with a 7D.

Very nice. Lots of angles and curves + droplets add visual interest. You have more room in front of your subject than behind, so may want to crop from bottom.
