Sweet, have really enjoyed your butterfly series. Gorgeous Butterfly and the colors contrast well with the background. Great detail, sharp and exposure looks good. I might remove the 2 dark areas on the bottom but nice as presented. TFS

Stunning!! At f/7 on a full frame camera, is it a focus stack?

Hi Stuart, beautiful subject and good job on the exposure. I'm noticing some blur on some of the wing extremities. Looks like the butterfly may have been flapping its wing some. Maybe bumping the ISO up could have allowed for a faster shutter. Or if the butterfly was still a narrower aperture may have helped DOF. I imagine the D800 would allow a higher ISO with retaining image quality. Still a pleasing image overall.

Very nice image and i like the various colours. The plane of focus is such that the DOF would never be optimal but it is nevertheless a very eye-catching image.
