I took this out of my car window a couple of weeks ago. A natural perch would have been nicer, but they do love to perch on barbed wire, and the bird didn't want to budge.
D7000, 300 f/4 AF-S + TCE14 II, hand-held, supported against open car window frame.
1/1250, f/10, ISO640, -2/3EV, pattern metering, no flash. Processed in LR4 and PSE9. Background selectively blurred and desaturated.
I'm finding that the 1.4TC gives a better iq with this lens than the 1.7, with less pp sharpening needed, even at the expense of slightly shorter reach.
Thanks for looking and comments.
