This is a fairly common bird in East Africa. I absolutely love the colors of this species. I'm still in Nairobi waiting for a flight home, but can't wait to post another image from this wonderful trip to Tanzania and Kenya.

Nice clean portrait of this gorgeous bird. I enjoy how the feet show on the top of the perch. Perfect dof for the bird and perch. Exposure work looks solid. Wonder about brightening the catchlight in the eye just a little bit to make the eye pop a bit more....

Awesome bird, perch, BG, vertical comp. That one piece of debris touching the top of the eye would go if mine. I also think the colours, although beautiful, could be more vivid? Sounds like you had a fun and productive trip...looking forward to more from it!

Thank you very much for your comments. Here is a RP with increased vibrance, contrast, NR to BG and sharpening of the bird. I also cropped a little tighter. Removed the bit near the eye. Hope you like it. It was a good trip!!!
