Stag Beetles are such impressive looking insects, nicely done and standing out boldly against the paler surface. like the way the camera has picked up on the shine on the shell but no blown bright spots

Hi Adrian. It looks like this beetle is getting quite a workout! (Wish I could "steal" it too!) :S3: Again, a spectacular subject nicely posed, composed, lit, and sharp throughout. An excellent image!

Hi Adrian, nice to see another one of these impressive beetles. Nice details and colors. I'd crop a bit from the top and the right.

Excellent work, Adrian! Composition works very well for me as presented. Textures and shadow detail work well, and I think resisting the temptation to punch up the saturation was the right way to go with this one. Have you considered burning in the bright areas upper right a bit? The light BG provides good contrast to the dark subject, but UR brightness is a tad distracting to me.
