A most unusual Eucalyptus species from Western Australia....the seed pod is about 70mm/3 inches in diameter.....just for interest sake more than anything

Glad you explained what it is Phil, I would never have guessed, a very unusual image, the seed heads look as if they are made of rusting metal! This is one of those images that I struggle with from a compositional point of view. Maybe because there are two as opposed to three seed heads the image doesn't quite balance for me but having said that I find it a fascinating image to look at.

Hi Phil. These are, indeed, odd looking seed pods! Good sharpness on your subjects and good detail in the shadows. I would wish that you could have included the bottom edge of the lower pod within the frame, but overall, this is nicely done!.

Phil...interesting subject...I would get in much closer! I think there could be a winner in macro mode!
