Light: magical. IQ: superb. Image design: superb. Perch: lovely. BKGR: superb. Head angle: beyond perfect.

Suggestion: remove at least the two most prominent grass ends, one below and to the right of the bird and the other one about an inch in from the left frame-edge.

Overall: a spectacularly well-done image. Can you share the situation?

Like the angle of the rick perch leading away from the bottom edge. lovely posture and sharp detail....personal tastes, but for me the light looks a bit too warm

Gorgeous portrait(!) in the sweet golden light quality many of us chase after. Love the low angle. It's cool how there is
an opening in the background grass right where the subject is.

Beautiful colors of background very well complimenting with pipits colors.
Superb inquisitive pose in lovely morning lights.Great details and beautiful lights.
If mine ,I would replace the OOF stone in RLC with grass, which will be absolutely marvelous.

Regards,
Satish.

This shot is "killer" because of the light and the IQ.
Love the rock as a perch and the way the grasses in the BG frame the bird,

Thankyou all for looking and your comments,Arthur this is the situation, this shot was taken at about 5AM UK time, near a disused quarry on moorland 10mins from were I live in Lancashire Northwest England, the sun had just come up and every thing was a golden yellow, behind the bird, the land drops off a few feet, and the next odject is a small planting, about 1/4mile away, giving me a nice blured BG,I don't use a hide,I like to sneak up on them, these birds are quite flighty,I was lucky,I managed to get close and get a few shots before it flew away, these birds are quite common on our moors, and are food for merlins sparrow hawks hen harriers.hope this helps.thanks again.
