This image was captured at a nearby wildlife center. I was using a Canon 20D and a 100-400mm (370mm range) Image Stabilized Lens. Details: f 6.3, 1/500, 400 ISO

Hi Gary,

What a lovely profile image. The light is very nice and warm, the details are excellent, the only thing I can suggest you is to have a little more room to the left. Try it at home and see what you think.

Very nice image. I love the colors and the profile. The eyes really stand out also.

Even though your light is from the right and behind, you excellently handled the shadows and brightest and created an expressive portrait. I works for me.

A fine portrait.. The detail in the shadowed side of the wolf is very good. A bit more room on the left side of the frame would be nice.. It's something about the eyes of the wolf, love em......

It's the eyes'.
Jake, you have managed to make the eyes' the centre of attention. Certainly for me it was the first thing I saw, then I started to see the rest of the picture. A little more space on the left for the wolf to look into, but a smashing image all the same.

Thank you for all of the kind comments. Indeed it is difficult to get a wolf to look at the camera, but this one did and I was fortunate enough to capture it.

A fine image indeed...lil nitpick as suggested, a tad more room to the left. Nontheless, a cracker!!
