While visiting an Eastern Bluebird Trail; the Tree Swallows presented some opportunities.

Well I posted on this one last night.....but evidently didn't hit the right button. I really like the pose this one has.....the turn of the head and the singing make you think that he's singing just for you. The open beak even shows the blood vessels.....so he must really be belting out a tune. Nice use of flash........especially to put a catchlight in that dark eye. Well done.

Great detail and comp. When you can see the inside the bird's mouth, you know you did things right! Beautiful image all around.

Great work, Ted. I really like the pose that you captured as well as the beautiful background. I might have liked a little more DOF to get the barbed wire in focus.
