An aerial shot from the west edge of Napa, CA, looking toward the Golden Gate. Salt ponds on the north edge of SF Bay (actually Richmond Bay up there) and clearing coastal stratus.

Canon 5D Mk II, 70-200 f/2.8 IS at 70mm. ISO 800, f/5.6, 1/2000. Beech B-33 (OK, you don't need that spec!), shot thru plexiglas window, which is Not a Good Thing. I might have gone with a lower SS and ISO but even with IS, a little bumpy air can really cause blurring. HH by necessity. And it was early, with lower light that it looks like here, thanks to the power of the digital darkroom.

I like all the different, lines, shapes, and colors presented here. The image has an abstract feel to it.

Hi Diane

I agree with James, nice pastel colours and the curves work well here...

Hi Diane, lovely work here. I really like the diagonal placement of the clouds and the meandering lines throughout...very nicely captured!

I like the composition, colour and use of lines here Diane.
It needs some spunk, I'd add some midtone contrast and a touch of LCE?

I'm late getting back to this. I agree with you, Morkel, that it could use more punch. It looked very punchy compared to the original RAW, but that's not a valid endpoint, especially for aerials, which are often very low contrast.

I'll work more on the master file -- thanks!
