I like the subdued lighting, the good detail and the beautiful eye and bill. The pose is ok but the HA could have been looking slightly more towards you and the background is a bit messy Ian.

Good DOF for 5.6 @700mm. Just a little more head turn would have been nice. Not the sand or water background we normally see with these guys so it is a bit distracting. Dosn't look like you had any other options though.
