Hi Doug - a nice scene and well composed. The sky looks overprocessed but still lacks detail. Can you describe what pp steps you did? Also whether you added any saturation? The image also needs a tiny bit of cw rotation.

Rachel

Rachel,

Thanks for your comments. I used NIK CEP in PS after +1 Saturation, +12 Vibrance and +10 Detail in Bridge. Most of the enhancement in the sky was from CEP. Regarding leveling, I adjusted that using the waterline in the lake in the background. It should be level, but I'll check again. The original FF image was considerably out of level, due to me hanging out the window of the 4x4.

Rachel,

You were certainly correct about the rotation - must have moved it in the crop. Thanks! Also, I reduced the opacity on the CEP layer to 50% and I think it looks much more natural.

I like the repost Douglas although I like the saturation of the subject and FG better in the OP.

What a super image. Your giraffe appears to be posing for you, and I love the way it's falling into the curve of the tree. It's nice to see so many elements of its environment. RP looks good but agree with John on a little more SAT of the subject and FG.

Another vote for a return to the saturation of the OP for the giraffe and foreground. Beautifully framed with the bare tree curving over the giraffe.

Love the image. Good choice of F16 to include all of the elements. I think the sky still looks a bit over processed. The green bush in front of the giraffe balances it nicely. Loi

I like the scene, Douglas, but the PP has a very "HDR" look to it - even the repost?
Just a bit overprocessed in general IMHO...
In terms of composition I wish the little bush wasn't sticking out behind the giraffe, but no maneuvering on your part could have avoided that from what I'm seeing here.
