Made in the Little Rann of Kutch, Gujarat. Decided to keep all the elements as it was on the scene.
Made with a Canon 550D + Sigma 150-500mm
Exif : F6.3 / ISO 400 / SS 1/2500 @ 500mm. Manual / Eval / Beanbag
Levels / Crop / USM / NR on BG

Comments & critiques most welcome.

Nice wing stretch, IQ looks good, light is nice. The ground is a little busy for my tastes. Good looking specimen.

Like the comp, bird well exposed and sharp. BG can do with another round of NR. The dead branches in front looks like the blur tool ran over the base. Personally I would loose the stick, and clean up the shore. The area directly behind bird is to drastic OOF for 6,3, go lower on blur tool %, then increase as you get further away.

Girish,

Lovely capture. The outstretched wings are a huge plus on this image.

I have to agree that the fg is just a tad busy, but nothing some cloning can't fix. Not sure the stick on the right adds much here, so I may consider removing that as well.

Agree with all the good and bad above. Great eyes by Andre.

Hi Andre,

Thanks for your feedback. No blurring has be done on the BG except for a round of NR in Neat Image.

Very nice shot.
Great wing position and great comp.
I agree on the foreground. Maybe just toning the branches down a bit.
Well done.

Hi Girish

Looks really like base of branches up to waterline is more OOF than higher, maybe optical illusion? Still maintain to loose it. Did well on bird with PP!
