It was cool to see a few of these today, they are usually hiding out in the reeds.
The local pond is in summer condition, I had a lot of clean up to do in the water.

Cute little guy! I like the "ankle" showing, and the water looks great...especially the painterly look above. I also like how big the eye looks. Not crazy about the distorted face on the reflection, but that is just bad luck that it stretched that way.

The detail on this little one is superb, excellent exposure. I love the BG the way the water looks to be flowing and the color. The only negative is the way the wave has distorted the reflection. A fine look at a baby wood duck.

" My my...what big eyes you have " Nice and sharp and like the satin water texture a lot and the tiny droplets on it's feathers....the eye is what really takes my fancy though, so glossy and nice catch light/reflection .

Excellent image of cute little one in wonderful and colorful water. Love the smooth feathers with superb details,nice catch light in the eye.
Of course the great composition.
