Another White-morph Reddish Egret from South Padre Island, TX. Wish I could move like these egrets do! When I tried this, I sank like a tank. :t3 My old lens sometimes has a problem with CA, so tried to fix it best I could in LR and desaturating magentas/reds in CS5. The trade-off seems to be a loss in edge sharpness in areas. However, it's better than a purple outline. It's usually not much of a problem, but on this photo it was. Probably should have increased my ISO to get a better shutter speed. I'm still "eager to learn" even though I'm posting here in Avian, so comments, suggestions, and tips always appreciated. Techs: Shot just after sunrise (7:20am) with a Nikon D7000/500mm f/4-P, 1.6x TC on tripod/gimbal @ 1/800, f/5.6, ISO 640.

Jeannean,
Another great capture with your 500P and 1.6x. I haven't use this combo, but I do know that you need to be very good with technique to get a sharp image.
Love the dynamic pose and exposure here!

I like how the one foot is coming out while the other is going in. Fine job on this action shot.
