A Bhraminy Kite also called as the Red Backed Sea Eagle in Australia dragging a huge fish out of the water which it was barely able to carry. The sheer bulk of the fish made the bird drop it every 10-15 meters before it was exhausted and finally gave up. Unfortunately for me it was way too close for the prime to cover the entire scene and I had to manage with whatever I could.

As a first timer in framing an image I have tried to put a black rim around this one which Im not too sure of. Your views would be appreciated with that too!! :bg3::bg3:

Beautiful bird, great light and detail. This is a tough one for composition. Do you have more grass at the bottom? Loi

Too bad about the missing parts, as it's a neat capture. Was this cropped at all? It would be tough for me to come up with a pleasing comp, but maybe try a pano type crop?

You have captured the action well in focus with the outstretched wings and the fish. As suggested above maybe a pano would give the idea of more room for the bird to fly.

Yeah, this was a tough one to frame indeed. Unfortunately this is a full frame image. I could have added some canvass in front of the bird but was not sure how that would look like.

I'm OK with the way the wing is cropped, I just wish you had more room below and a better head angle. I love the visible gills on the prey, and the fly is pretty neat too.
