Looks like you had some nice light coming through to spot light the right areas. In a perfect world, the background would have been clean, but at least you got a nice pose!

Some great light and a lovely pose,
good sharpness and a superb exposure.
I like the lichen all over the place , nicely done

Absolutely gorgeous. The pose, the framing with the twigs, exposure, light, details. I personally prefer such shots over the ones that are set up. This one has an awesome natural feel to it. I don't mind anything in the BG. The area behind the bird is clean and distant. Good call on all the techs. Am sure this must have been difficult to pull off. Well done.

A real beauty. I used to see the Louisiana every Spring but was never around the Northern's habitat. Very nice singing pose and I like the way the bird is framed by the branches. Wouldn't change a thing.

A beauty. Sweet light on the bird, and perfect singing pose. The bg would be easy to clean up if you so desired, but it doesn't bother me here.

While I find the portrait in the final RP very visually pleasing, it tells a completely different story than the OP. The OP shows the bird singing in its environment, and I find it more thought provoking and meaningful.

Love the lighting and composition of the original post. That setting and light is my idea of a "perfect world"... :)
If you achieved this without using audio as an attractant, I am doubly impressed!
