Towards the end of April this year the area around my home was hit with a nasty ice storm. As the freezing rains persisted I gave waiting for them to stop and decided to go for a drive. There were lots of interesting trees standing alone in the agricultural fields that were cloaked in thick ice. I chose to use my 80-400mm VR lens (the old one) on my D800 and handhold the images from the warmth and dryness of the car.
Look forward to comments

Simplicity at it's best Andrew, lovely composition and just the right amount of colour, cool.

Hi Andrew.. Cool is the right word for this, too cool for Western Australia unfortunately... I too like the simplicity and understatement, but I might consider trimming of half the foreground to direct attention to the tree just a little more. TFS... DON

That looks too cold for me! Very simple and effective. If it were mine, I might crop a little off of the top?

I like this, Andrew! Has an IR feel to it. Nice simplistic image design too, with oodles of mood.
