Although the HA is not the best, I like the perch on this one.
I did some clean up in the background to get rid of the OOF part of the tree stump.

Hi Karl, I also like the perch it has plenty of character but I feel it's a little to dominate in the frame compared to the subject if this were mine I would crop the bottom 2/3 of the frame giving equal weight to the bird and perch.

Nice catch despite the HA. I agree with Don concerning cropping the bottom of the perch some - the top part would still add alot of interest IMO.

Sharp with a good exposure. And a wonderful little subject that never stays still. But the rather harsh light and the huge unattractive perch are too tough to overcome....

Thank you, Artie. I have already processed a version with less perch. It might be somewhat better.

Like this lot more:bg3:, the focus is now more on the bird than on the stump.
