Hi Roger,

this looks very nice. Love the pieces flying away around the trunk while pulling the branch off. Wonder if the tusk is not sharp to the end as well the mouth! I might would sharpen all just to see how it looks!
The light and colors are great as well :bg3:

Hi Roger - this reminds me of Hendri's image of the elephant blowing mud. Nice light and detail. I agree with Anette about the tusk.

Love the light, somewhat backlit? Also the textures, shapes and sculptured curves of the trunk and tusk the light brings out. The scattering foliage shows what is going on, no guessing about it. A very unique look at the elephant life. Keeps my interest when looking at image to find more in it. Believe that is an Acacia tree being stripped? Of course the techs are spot on.

The shape of the trunk along with the light coming through the little green pieces makes one see exactly the action that is being been
portrayed. It is a "one of a kind" photo.

Anette, yes the closest parts of the tusk is slightly out of the depth of field, but the edge and tip are quite sharp. I don't think this detracts as the focus is the trunk and flying pieces of the branch. Stopping down more would have resulted in too much motion blur.
