What a camouflage job! It took me a second to see the butterfly. Great capture!!

Simply stunningly gorgeous. Love the camo, the colors, and the overall softness. I would definitely consider a crop from the top for the full pano look.

Another beauty, Jon.

Great subject, background and capture. I wouldn't change a thing. Outstanding!

Thanks for the comments glad you like it... I have just noticed a few dust spots in the background.

Fantastic capture Jonathan! So far, I haven't succeeded in getting an image of this species, so I'm very jealous....:S3:. I do feel that the image could be a bit brighter. I was able to up the exposure with 0.55 without blowing any of the whites. I also liked applying a little S/H adjustment to brighten up some of the shadow on the flower and butterfly.

Jerry, the original had much brighter flowers, they were toned down to balance with the butterfly so that explains why it was possible to increase illumination again.

Hi Jon. Love the soft light and the pastel background (albeit with the dust spots you note above :S3:). You captured a beautiful specimen with good sharpness and I like Artie's idea of a pano crop. Excellent work!

Wonderful combination of flower and butterfly. Wow! They blend in together so beautifully. How did you ever see it? Lovely photo. The flower and butterfly stand out beautifully against the smooth bg. I agree with Jerry's comments about brightening it up a bit, and with other's comments about cropping from the top. Lovely work.

Hey Jon,
I noticed the dust bunnies.....but easy fix. I could go either way with brightness and crop. Another fine one!!!
