Love it -- what an amazing tail! Perfect composition to show it off!

Is the light area on the head supposed to be white? There a cyan cast there, but maybe that's natural.

Thanks for the comment Diane. The light area is the turquoise brow. When you view this bird straight on from the front the brows are thick and raised. I find these birds to be quite beautiful.

Oh -- duh -- I'm so new to birds and never heard of this one, the name went in one ear and out the other without interacting with any gray matter on the way through.

WOW...what an oddly out of proportion bird, with a super sized beak like that it's a wonder it doesn't fall flat on it's face lol

Beautiful subject and I presume with the long tail filaments it's in full breeding plumage ? Nie simple composition and like the over the shoulder HA...looks sharp and nicely focused, but i feel a little flat and in need of some brightening

One after another, Jim, terrific images from your trip.
The BG looks like a set up it is so good.
The bird is sharp as can be and the color is very nice.

Nice perch and background Jim, but who cares about them when this stunning bird is so nicely lit and has a perfect pose showing off the tail so well.
