very cute, I like the motion in the wings, great eyes, i might consider cleaning up some of the distracting circles in the BG

and as much as i hate to say it (because i wonder why anyone does) I sure wish he woulda looked right at you:bg3:

Thank you Randy. I agree with the eye contact is nicer. As for BG, I'm ok with it as is as I am probably using this in a contest so no cloning is allowed.

At first I was going to say that this one wasn't really working for me, although I love the perch and green BG. Then I noticed the owlet's talons gripping UNDER the branch which told more of the story. It's a fun and interesting behavior image, although I just wish the branch weren't cutting through the owlet.

Very nice indeed Troy, the face is very sharp and the wings show the temporary state of desperation.
It may be just me but the greens look a strange shade of green, perhaps it was the time of day but the lichen in particular looks strange to me.

I think this is great! Those eyes say it all!! Great reflexes to capture this plus keep the focus sharp on the eyes.

Thank you all. I wish the owner of the property doesn't trim the branches too. But I am glad to have captured this moment. Perhaps a vertical crop to eliminate the cut branch would have more impact?

Cute image, love those round eyes. Agreed with Daniel about the branch cut thru the owl, but it is a fun image indeed.

Cute image Troy and it certainly captures the moment so to speak. Did the little owlet correct itself or take a tumble?
