One of the most intense African storms I've ever seen. Looking back I don't know how I was able to stand there for so long (I was taking timelapse stills). :eek3::t3

Taken on the Caprivi (Namibian) shore of the Chobe river. The land you see is the Chobe National Park in Botswana.

I will be away with family and friends for a few days - keep the posts coming!

Techs:
Nikon D800
Nikkor 24-70mm f2.8
f5.6 | 1/125 SS | ISO-220

Fantastic sky and cloud detail Morkel, love the B&W conversion as well. Chobe is a fantastic place, hoping to visit the area later this year :S3:

Intense storm front brewing here Morkel and the conversion adds dramatic effect. Nicely done.

Quite Menacing Morkel, and the B&W adds to this IMHO. ... Well done..!

Very Ominous, Morkel and perfect for B & W.
As with Steve's Eiger photo, it must be my new 27 in. Mac Monitor because again, I am seeing noise and there should not be.

Thanks folks.
Dan - I used some grain in the conversion, no noise :tinysmile_shy_t:
