Hi,

Nice colors, detail and bg. Looks a bit over-sharpened to me, and more of a head turn towards the viewer would have been better.

What a lovely subject, gorgeous colors and a nice solid BG. Could you tell me what camera body you are using, Len? I am curious as to why the ISO 125. Interestingly, even though you were photographing at a very low ISO you have quite a bit of noise in your BG and I am wondering why. It may have something to do with the way you prepared the image for the web. Post processing isn't my forte, so we'll have to ask someone else to comment on that.

I did notice that you did not convert your image to sRGB which is typically used for web presentation. Also, you may wish to post at 1024 on the long side for better viewing but not necessary if you prefer not to.

I think I would have liked to see a little more canvas all around this image if you have it. He looks a little cramped in the frame. A slight head turn may have been preferable but this works as well b/c he showing off his gorgeous colors.

Lovely subject, agree with previous assessments. It looks to me a little over sharpened and therefore a bit coarse and grainy in the plumage, a round of noise reduction in the background would be a nice touch too

very cool colors! this is a vibrant bird. I agree it has been oversharpened and noisy. There is some noise even at low ISOs (some camera bodies show more) and if you over sharpen the image it become obvious. in particular you should not sharpen the BG where noise shows most.

TFS, looking forward to more.
